Frequently Asked Questions

The practical stuff: cancellation, ownership, timing, and what's included.

How much does it cost?

The cost of setting up a churchsite.uk website is £50 and then £50 annually.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel at any time by emailing accounts@churchsite.uk.

Who owns the domain and subdomain?

Your site lives on a subdomain of churchsite.uk (for example, yourchurch.churchsite.uk), which we own and host as part of the service. If you already own a domain for your church we can set up a redirect.

How long does setup take?

Around a week from when we receive your content. The process is: enquire, send us your content, we build and launch your site, and you can request changes anytime after that.

What happens to our files if we leave?

We're committed to ensuring a smooth transition. We provide your site including text and images in a format that you can use elsewhere.

What's not included?

In our basic package a simple 3-page website — it doesn't include things like online giving, event booking, livestreaming, or a system for you to edit the site yourself. If you need something beyond the standard template, select advanced plan when you make your enquiry.

How many change requests can we make?

Reasonable changes are included, there's no hard limit. Just send a request through the update form and we'll usually turn it around within 5 working days.

How does the payments work?

The £50 setup fee is due after your intial enquiry alongside the first annual payment of £50. For future years, you can pay the subscription amount by invoice or direct debit monthly.
